On Monday the 20th the team met to discuss tasking and work on the project together. We discussed the cone of viability for the sensors. What this means is that each sensor has a specific range in which it can send a reliable signal back to the micro-controller when it senses an object. Outside of this range, any signals will be considered false positives. The area covered by the sensors tends to be a cone shape with the tip of the cone at the sensor itself.

The next topic discussed was the physical placement of the control module devices on the cart. It was decided to create a box that holds all of these devices and attach it underneath the top shelf of the cart. This box will be waterproof within reason. It does not need to withstand rain or extended exposure to humidity but it will offer some protection from dust and other elements that may interfere with the electronic devices.

Finally, tasking was decided for the week. It is as follows:

Jesus: Continue testing sensors. Draw up a more definite "cone" of sensing for each type of sensor.

Victoria: Continue work on mechanical module. Research wheel drift. Create block diagram. Work on motor driver program. Work on user device and shielding for IR proximity sensors.
